About the product

Oregano essential oil is a natural essential oil obtained by steam distillation from the leaves and flowers of the Origanum majorana plant, known for its strong and aromatic scent. Thanks to its spicy, sharp and warm aroma it is a distinctive botanical essence in aromatherapy and fragrance-focused products.
Its natural aroma suits room scents, soaps, personal care products, massage oils, aromatic blends and natural perfumery. Its distinctive, intense botanical scent gives formulations a characteristic Mediterranean note.
Its aromatic profile may be sharper or softer depending on the growing region, the harvest time and the distillation process.
Oregano oil, which belongs to the essential oil class, is generally used diluted with carrier oils and can form harmonious blends with different aromatic oils. With its characteristic structure it is a valuable raw material for producers working with strong, distinctive scents.

How to use
- Add 3 to 5 drops to 100 ml of water in a diffuser.
- If you are applying it to the skin, mix at most 2 drops into 10 ml of carrier oil.
- A single drop on a tissue is enough to scent a room.
Ingredients and purity
One hundred per cent pure oregano essential oil (Thymus vulgaris), obtained by steam distillation from the flowering branches.
Its phenol content is high and it is undiluted.
Scent and feel
A warm, sharp herb, with a medicinal firmness on top and an earthy base underneath. Far more intense than the oregano in the kitchen.
Medium volatility. Even a small amount is noticeable in a room.
Who it suits, who it does not
Suitable for: small amounts in a diffuser, household cleaning blends, targeted massage diluted with a carrier oil.
Caution: its high phenol content may irritate the skin, so do not exceed the dilution ratio. Not to be applied directly to the skin and not to be taken by mouth. Not to be used during pregnancy, while breastfeeding or under the age of six. Anyone with high blood pressure should consult their doctor.
Frequently asked questions
- Why should I use only a little?
- Oregano oil is rich in phenols and can irritate the skin. Two drops in a diffuser, or one drop per 10 ml of oil when diluting, is enough.
- Can it be used for cleaning?
- Yes, this is one of its common uses. A surface blend is made with five drops and a teaspoon of vinegar per litre of water.
- Can it be used on the skin?
- Never directly. Always dilute it with a carrier oil and try it on a small area first.
