About the product
Made from St John's wort flowers gathered in areas away from main roads and sprayed fields and gardens. Macerated in cold-pressed virgin olive oil.
How to use
- Apply to the skin in a thin layer.
- Work it in with a massage.
- Use it in your night routine; if you use it during the day, protect yourself from the sun.
- Store in a cool, dark place.
Ingredients and purity
St. John's wort flowers (Hypericum perforatum) prepared by maceration in a plant carrier oil.
Its characteristic red colour comes from the hypericin in the plant, and the appearance of this colour is the sign that it has been prepared correctly.
Scent and feel
Herbal and resinous, slightly earthy. Medium-weight texture.
Its red colour is pronounced and may stain light fabrics.

Suitable for: face and body care, hair care.
Caution: for cosmetic use. Avoid contact with the eyes. Before first use, apply a drop to the inside of your arm and wait twenty-four hours. Do not use on open wounds or irritated skin. St. John's wort can cause light sensitivity, so keep the treated area out of the sun. Anyone taking antidepressants should consult their doctor.

- Why is it red?
- When the hypericin in St. John's wort passes into the oil it gives a red colour. A colourless St. John's wort oil has not been steeped long enough.
- Can I go out in the sun?
- St. John's wort can cause light sensitivity. Do not expose the treated area to direct sun; use it in your night routine.
- How is it stored?
- In a cool, dark place with the cap tightly closed. Fixed oils oxidise in light and heat, so use within six months to a year of opening.
