About the product
An essential oil obtained by distillation from the resin of the storax tree. 100% pure, no additives. It complies with Turkish standards and the European Pharmacopoeia. Sold in light-proof pharmacy bottles with a glass dropper.
How to use
- Add 3 to 5 drops to 100 ml of water in a diffuser.
- If you are applying it to the skin, mix at most 2 drops into 10 ml of carrier oil.
- A single drop on a tissue is enough to scent a room.
Ingredients and purity
One hundred per cent pure sweetgum essential oil (Liquidambar orientalis), obtained from the balsam of the tree.
Anatolian sweetgum grows nowhere in the world except the forests of south-west Anatolia. It is undiluted.
Scent and feel
Balsamic, sweet resin, with a slightly cinnamon-like warmth on top and a deep woody base underneath. Close to the scent of incense.
Low volatility, a base note. It lasts long in a blend and holds the other scents.
Who it suits, who it does not
Suitable for: fragrance in a diffuser, massage diluted with a carrier oil, homemade care blends.
Caution: it is a pure essential oil, not to be applied directly to the skin or taken by mouth. Avoid contact with the eyes. Consult your doctor during pregnancy, while breastfeeding and under the age of six. Keep out of the reach of children.

- In the Turkish market sweetgum oil is also called frankincense oil. This product is obtained from the balsam of Anatolian sweetgum, Liquidambar orientalis.
- How is it used in meditation?
- Two or three drops are enough in a diffuser. Being a base note, it stays in the room for a long time.
- How long does it keep?
- Two years after opening when stored cool, dark and tightly closed. For citrus oils that period drops to one year.
