Lemon essential oil is obtained by cold pressing the peel of the Citrus limon fruit and is known for its fresh, invigorating scent. Its profile is fresh, citrusy and lively, which makes it a natural ingredient often chosen for scent-based products, aromatherapy and personal care formulations.

The colour of lemon essential oil is usually pale yellow with a slightly greenish tone. Scent intensity may vary with the region where the fruit was grown, the harvest time and the production method.

How to use
- Add 3 to 5 drops to 100 ml of water in a diffuser.
- If you are applying it to the skin, mix at most 2 drops into 10 ml of carrier oil.
- A single drop on a tissue is enough to scent a room.

One hundred per cent pure lemon peel oil (Citrus limon), cold pressed from the peel.
Pressing is used instead of distillation, which is how the fresh scent of the fruit is preserved. It is undiluted.

- Should I take 30 ml or 50 ml?
- If you also use it for cleaning, 50 ml is more economical. For a diffuser alone, 30 ml lasts a long time.
- Does it cause light sensitivity?
- Yes. Cold-pressed citrus oils cause light sensitivity, so avoid the sun for twelve hours after applying them to the skin.
- How long does it keep?
- Citrus oils oxidise quickly. Keep them cool and dark and use within a year of opening.
