About the product
It is an essential oil obtained from the roots of the vetiver plant. It is 100% pure and free of additives. It complies with Turkish standards and the European Pharmacopoeia. It is sold in light-proof pharmaceutical glass bottles with a dropper.
How to use
- Add 3 to 5 drops to 100 ml of water in a diffuser.
- If you are applying it to the skin, mix at most 2 drops into 10 ml of carrier oil.
- A single drop on a tissue is enough to scent a room.
Ingredients and purity
One hundred per cent pure vetiver essential oil (Chrysopogon zizanioides), obtained by steam distillation from the roots of the plant.
It is a dark, viscous oil and is undiluted.
Scent and feel
Wet earth, roots and smoke. Not sweet, but deep and heavy. It may not be liked on its own, yet in a blend it puts everything in place.
One of the least volatile oils, a base note. It lasts for days.
Who it suits, who it does not
Suitable for: fragrance in a diffuser, massage diluted with a carrier oil, homemade care blends.
Caution: it is a pure essential oil, not to be applied directly to the skin or taken by mouth. Avoid contact with the eyes. Consult your doctor during pregnancy, while breastfeeding and under the age of six. Keep out of the reach of children.

- Can it be used on its own?
- Its scent is very deep and it is generally used in a blend. One drop of vetiver puts a five-drop blend in place.
- It is dark and does not flow in the bottle, is that normal?
- That is normal. Vetiver is a viscous oil and thickens further in the cold. Warm the bottle in your palm.
- How long does it keep?
- Two years after opening when stored cool, dark and tightly closed. For citrus oils that period drops to one year.
